If you’ve been following the latest at JulietBravoFox Media (@julietbravofoxmedia on IG), you may have noted our connection with AvBrief.com that officially took off in February.
When I joined the team as business development manager and started looking at ways we could expand the audience in an organic way, I identified an area we were missing.
Aspiring pilots. Students on a career track. Those pursuing a lifelong dream.
We could add an entire segment based on JulietBravoFox Media’s deep understanding of flight training globally—both Stephen and I have been flight training professionals for decades—and the collective experience of the AvBrief team to complement that knowledge. We had experts already writing about aircraft systems and aerodynamic theory in practical, engaging ways. And we wanted to give those new to the industry a way to tap into real, objective, authentic aviation intelligence.
And any pilots from our established audience of more than 40,000 subscribers—being lifetime learners—would benefit too.

After workshopping a series of names for this new page on AvBrief, we stuck with the obvious and the title general enough to encompass our goals: The Training Aviator. The icon for the page was designed by Selma Turbić-Filipović, of SF Design. It’s of a young pilot, looking to the skies.
Like we all still do. Admit it.
Join us at AvBrief.com, and point the aspiring pilots you mentor or know to come along too. Every Thursday we send out The Training Aviator newsletter, and it’s free, just like all of our content.
